Ong Mei Lin has been training in the academic and corporate sectors for 18 years. Before venturing into full time professional corporate training, she conducted Personal Development Skill, Professional Development Skill and Team Development Skill courses for students in numerous private colleges and universities. Besides leadership and personal development, her experience extends over the areas of Business Communication, Academic English and English language proficiency.
Apart from academic institutions, Mei Lin was an in-house trainer for employees in the shared services industry, namely HSBC Data Processing Malaysia and AIG Shared Services, where she delivered workshops on Business Communication, such as General Writing Course and Email Writing for Customer Service that are department specific, alongside a host of business communication trainings such as Report and Minute Writing. As part of the HR training team, she conducted induction sessions for new employees and briefed managers on the performance cycle practices of the organisations.
It is evident that through her work experience, Mei Lin’s area of expertise is in English Language and Communication. Since venturing out full time, she has trained in these areas for clients in the Klang Valley such as Zuellig Pharma Shah Alam, Magnum 4D Sdn Bhd, Gamuda Berhad, Mitsui & Co, Tejana Holdings Management and Services, Software AG, and World Scout Bureau.
Mei Lin is passionate about human development and learning. She believes in the power of coaching and self-awareness for personal breakthroughs in skills acquisition. This is the philosophy held in the trainings conducted and has proven to yield positive and encouraging results.
